The Permitting Process

Typically, the most tedious and arduous task of acquiring a new paint booth syster is the permitting process. Our team has over 25 years experience in navigating the booth legalization process.

Here's some important information to know regarding booth permitting:

​

There are THREE (3) agencies involved in the booth permitting process:

 

1. THE CITY  (where you're located)

​

2. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT (from your city)

​

3. BAY AREA AIR QUALITY (for California)

     

Another big hurdle in the process is having the proper designs made for your paint/spray booth.

IMPORTANT: Engineers and inspectors are required to sign off on these blueprints when they are submitted to the city before your project would be able to be started.

​

This entire process, on average, can take up to

8 to 10 weeks  before you have proper permitting,  and we can begin building your booth.

​

Pricing Info:

The cost of blueprints can typically range from a minimum of $5,000 - $10,000 on a sliding-scale depending on a number of factors including:

​

+The size and extent of the project

+Building parameters

+Current code compliance*

       

*Failure to meet state building codes can delay the process and be costly to fix.
