Designs & Permits

The Permitting Process

Typically, the most tedious and arduous task of acquiring a new paint booth syster is the permitting process. Our team has over 25 years experience in navigating the booth legalization process.

Here's some important information to know regarding booth permitting:

There are THREE (3) agencies involved in the booth permitting process:

1. THE CITY  (where you're located)

2. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT (from your city)

3. BAY AREA AIR QUALITY (for California)

Another big hurdle in the process is having the proper designs made for your paint/spray booth.

IMPORTANT: Engineers and inspectors are required to sign off on these blueprints when they are submitted to the city before your project would be able to be started.

This entire process, on average, can take up to

8 to 10 weeks  before you have proper permitting,  and we can begin building your booth.

Pricing Info:

The cost of blueprints can typically range from a minimum of $5,000 - $10,000 on a sliding-scale depending on a number of factors including:

+The size and extent of the project

+Building parameters

+Current code compliance*

*Failure to meet state building codes can delay the process and be costly to fix.
